Free ride skiing

Freeriders whose head and legs have no restraints and who want to do just about anything and everything with their boards will find that Pila offers what they most need: long pistes of all kinds, groomed or untouched, smooth or with moguls, and off-piste paths in the middle of the woods where they can zizag and leap over natural obstacles.

Pila is powder as well. Powder snow gives the most intense sensations of this sport. It is both the dream of every rider and what the snowboard was originally invented for.

Yet if leaving a furrow on a slope with soft snow is what turns your head, remember to keep it screwed on the right way. Don't forget the word "avalanche". Don't cut across snowclad slopes, keep an eye on the weather bulletins and forecasts and make sure you carry a lifesaver known as the Arva (appareil recherche victimes avalanches), a device that helps rescuers to find you if you get swept away. And if you're not fully sure, take an instructor or a guide along with you.
